. . . have patience with everything
unresolved in your heart and try to love
the questions themselves as if they were
locked rooms or books written in a very
foreign language. . . .
live the questions
now. Perhaps then, someday far in the
future, you will gradually, without even
noticing it, live your way
into the answer.
Rainer Maria Rilke, from Letters to a Young Poet

What is wanted is not that we should find
      ultimate truth,
nor that we should become secure,
nor that we should have ease,
nor that we should be without hurt,
but that we should live fully.
 It is for us

to train our hearts to live in grace,

      to sacrifice our self-centered desires,
to find the peace without want
      without seeking it for ourselves,
      and when we fail,
      to begin again each day.

      - John McQuiston II, Always We Begin Again

The Center for Faith and Action.

Every educational experience offered by The Center for Faith and Action is a laboratory for learning how the inward and the outward journeys both shape our meaning-making and our action-taking. Every class offers concrete means of embodying justice and wholeness, grace and celebration.

Educational experiences take the form of discussion classes, hands-on workshops, study tours, film-discussion series, and a world of ideas we'll be dreaming with you. Each of The Center's learning forums charges tuition, requires a materials fee, or requests a donation but never excludes anyone. Hospitality -- first, last, and always -- shapes the heart of The Center.
